Chargers Defense playing at a high level

Can you believe it? The Los Angeles Chargers are just one game out of first place. The Chargers have very few injuries and seem to be getting stronger each week. Rivers has played basically error free and the Defense has it’s motor revved up pretty high! If the Chargers were a sports car, they would be doing 125 MPH in the fast lane and not even in overdrive yet. All of a sudden, they clearly look like the best team in the AFC West. With the Denver Broncos basically imploding and the Kansas City Chiefs looking like a train wreck, all the Chargers have to worry about is the Oakland Raiders. If the Chargers can win out, they will win the division and make the playoffs.

The Chargers defense has been really getting after the quarterback with very solid play from Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. Head coach Anthony Lynn knows his team is much better than their record as they should have won their first two games (missed kicks). Suddenly the Chargers are the hottest team in the AFC West. At one point the Chargers were 0-4 and the Chiefs were 5-0, but the Chiefs look like they are pressing and playing poorly with conservative play calling. The Chargers clearly have the best quarterback in the division as Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith has been playing poorly in cold weather and Denver does not even have a quarterback worth mentioning. Which brings us back to the Raiders, If Derrick Carr can stay healthy, the Raiders may make some noise, but Rivers is clearly more experienced at the QB position overall. Don’t forget Keenan Allen! The Chargers speedy receiver is basically Odell Beckham without all the drama. He sure is fun to watch.
