The Rams and Chargers are celebrating the installation of the highest beam at their new stadium today. It has been signed by the work force, which has grown to about 2,000 people daily. The teams are treating the workers to lunch.
The installation of the final beam for the Rams and Chargers stadium that will open in 2020. Four million man hours, by about 2,500 workers, have been logged into this project already.
At 42 feet long and weighing more than 12,000 pounds, the beam will be hoisted to the top of the stadium bowl and secured into place. Construction of the stadium for the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers is on schedule for completion in the summer of 2020.
