Welcome to the 2021 Chargers! There are plenty of reasons to believe that the Bolts will be able to pick up right where they left off last season, winning their last 4 straight games to end the 2020 season. First off, the Chargers are stacked on both sides of the ball. There is no reason the Bolts should not continue to win, especially with Derwin James running around on D.
Offensively, Los Angeles will be led by rookie sensation Justin Herbert. With the revamped line that’s in place, and weapons all around him, Herbert should have some fun at the control panel. Herbert’s weapons include stars like Keenan Allen, Austin Ekeler, Mike Williams, Tyron Johnson, Jalen Guyton, rookie Josh Palmer and Jared Cook. This is going to be fun to watch! Herbert should have no problem lighting up the scoreboard as he is surrounded with talent.
Defensively, The Chargers are engineered by Derwin James and Joey Bosa, the group also boasts Michael Davis, Kenneth Murray, Drue Tranquill, Linval Joseph, Chris Harris Jr, plus rookie Asante Samuel Jr among others. The Charger D is looking very scary and should flourish under the defensive mind of head coach Brandon Staley. The Chargers defense will be the key to a successful season as you can only imagine if the Chargers force turnovers, it will almost not be fair to the opposing team, regardless who the Chargers are playing. Think ball control and Justin throwing TD passes like crazy!
While unproven, coach Staley has presented himself like he’s coached in this league over a decade since coming onboard, as he has connected with each individual on the team and has developed a fine-tuned culture. The players are dialed in!
On top of that, Staley has addressed that he wants to overcome frustrating failures that cost the team a lot of close games the past few seasons, including game management, basic strategy in crucial situations and of course the special teams disasters and competence. Better coaching will keep the Chargers in every game and with out a doubt improve their record. Can you say 2021 Chargers? Get ready!
For a team that has dealt with some injuries to key players in the past, they will have to stay healthy to have success in 2021. But if they do, there’s no reason why the Chargers can’t put Kansas City on notice including making a statement in the process and winning the AFC West.
Just in case @tae15adams needs a new avi at some point, ya know? ⚡️?⚡️Who’d be tryin’ to stop this Offense?! #DavanteAdams #Chargers #CollegeDigits #Photoshop pic.twitter.com/38EQ7aqRFv
